ENGAGING WITH INFORMATIONAL TEXTS

In this summative timed write essay, I had to engage with and analyze expository texts in order to argue a thesis on ethical responsibility. I learned how to understand, annotate, and properly utilize these texts to further back up my argument. My options for sources to use in argumentative essays has more than doubled by learning how to use expository texts in my writing. The use of informational texts as sources has enhanced my writing by making it more credible, since these texts are based on facts. What I learned from this assignment will help me greatly with future projects because using non-fiction texts is an important skill in everyday life.
